Families served by food shelves often receive less than 1 gallon of milk per person a year.
Milk is one of the most requested items at food shelves, yet it’s one of the least donated, because it requires refrigeration throughout the entire journey from donation to table. Kids-in-need are hit especially hard, even if they get milk through free or reduced-price meal programs at school, because those programs don’t help during the evenings, weekends, or holidays.
Since 1914, Kemps farm families have been providing wholesome products to communities throughout the midwest. And now, through The Giving Cow™ Project, we aim to do even more to care for those in our communities who need it most.
